Our 8th featured photographer is none other than the world famous Arild Heitmann. As Arild describes himself: "I'm 32 years old, born and raised in Northern Norway and have lived here my entire life. I spend most of my time chasing big trouts up in the mountains, but photography is taking up more and more time. I started shooting for real in Arild Heitmann lives in a very special part of the world, and is making the most of it with his beautiful photography, and his adventure.
Arild Heitmann is a leading photographer based in the north of Norway, and lives a quiet life in the small town close to the Lofoten Islands. In many ways his stature in the world of photography belies his hometown, but at the same time it makes a lot of sense.

Behind the shot - Floating Peaks. Last November i spent a week on the incredible island of Madeira together with some great friends. Its located far out in the Atlantic ocean and in November there are clouds rolling in from the Atlantic creating an incredible playground for those of us who enjoy photographing fog. With Arild Heitmann and Ryan Dyar at the helm of this Lofoten Tours trip through Norway I didn’t have this feeling, instead I walked away with so much more. This trip was action packed from the very start, shooting sunrises, scouting locations for night shoots, post-processing sessions, shooting sunsets and then up almost every night shooting.

The fishing season is over. 5 months of hiking, camping and fishing. An everlasting chase for that big elusive trout. Only 7 months until next season.
